If your oven isn't heating properly, won't switch on, or keeps cutting out mid-cook, the first step is finding out what's actually wrong. In many cases it's a straightforward fix rather than something that needs a full replacement.
Herne Bay Domestics is a family run business that has been repairing domestic appliances across Kent for over 40 years, covering Canterbury and the surrounding area, including Gillingham, Herne Bay, Folkestone, Minster, Snodland and Sandwich.
Our engineers repair ovens from all the major brands, including AEG, Beko, Bosch, Miele, LG, Samsung, Hotpoint, Neff, Siemens, Hoover, Electrolux and more.
What Are The Signs Your Oven Needs Repairing?
A few common issues we're regularly called out for include the oven not heating up at all, uneven cooking or hot spots, the door not sealing properly, a faulty thermostat causing temperature swings, or the oven tripping the electrics when switched on. If you're noticing any of these, it's worth having the fault diagnosed properly rather than guessing at the cause.
How Do You Know If An Oven Can Be Repaired?
The only way to know for certain is to have it looked at by an engineer. The fixed £45 call out fee covers one of our engineers visiting your home to find out what's causing the problem. Once we've found the fault, we'll give you a repair quote that includes any parts and labour before any work is carried out.
If you decide to go ahead, many repairs can be completed on the first visit because our engineers carry a selection of commonly used parts with them. If we need to order a part, we'll arrange another visit as soon as it's available.
Before You Arrange A Repair
One thing that's easy to overlook is your warranty. If your oven is still covered by the manufacturer or an insurance policy, contact the manufacturer or insurer before arranging a repair. Using another repair company while it's under warranty could affect your cover.
We also repair a wide range of other domestic appliances, including fridge freezers, washing machines, dishwashers, tumble dryers, cookers and hobs. If you've got more than one appliance that needs attention, it's worth mentioning it when you get in touch.
