Washing Machine Not Spinning
A customer in Faversham got in touch after noticing their washing machine drum had stopped turning mid-cycle. Once we inspected the machine, we traced the fault to worn motor carbon brushes, which were stopping the motor from driving the drum properly.
After fitting new carbon brushes and reassembling the machine, we ran it through a wash and spin cycle to check everything. The drum was turning properly again and the washing machine was back to normal.
Dishwasher Leaving Dishes Dirty
Another customer told us their dishwasher was running full cycles but the dishes weren't coming out clean. On inspection, we found the spray arms weren't rotating correctly because the circulation pump had failed, so water wasn't circulating through the machine properly.
We replaced the pump, rebuilt the dishwasher and tested it with a full cycle. Water pressure was restored, the spray arms turned as they should and the dishes came out clean again.
Oven Struggling To Heat Up
Our third call of the day was for an electric oven that was slow to heat and never reached the set temperature. We found the fan oven heating element had failed and needed replacing.
Once the new element was fitted and the oven reassembled, we tested it to confirm it reached and held the correct temperature. It's now heating evenly and working as it should.
